The standard was jointly developed by 16 major European automobile manufacturers in 2000. The standard specifies plastic fiber as the transmission medium of data network in the automobile, which mainly supports the application of entertainment information in the automobile, thus making the transmission speed of information in the automobile reach 900Mbit/s.
M.O.S.T. (Media Oriented Systems Transport) is a local area network that connects audio equipment, on-board television, global positioning system and on-board telephone equipment. It plays a leading role in short distance data transmission and industrial automation, especially in improving automobile safety performance and information entertainment function.
